Hey Folks!

As usual, it’s taken me a while to get around to an update — I hope this finds you safe and happy, wherever you are.

In theatre news, How to Survive an Apocalypse went up at the Finborough Theatre in London (UK) in the fall, where the Daily Telegraph called it a “zesty treat about coupledom, catastrophising, and coping with adult compromise.” An adorable theatre in New Hampshire played Kayak, How to Survive, and The Donation all together in February, as a way to open up a discussion about climate change in their community. And I’ve been lucky enough to have been kicking about The Only Animal’s truly inspiring Greenhouse initiative—where I developed the start of site-specific piece that’s going to live in my dreams. If anyone wants to fund a girl to drag together 6 playwrights and write an eco-theatrical Rashomon, hit me up :).

But of course, the big news, is that after my Corus-sponsored stint on Family Law, I signed with The Jennifer Hollyer Agency, and was hired as a story editor for Family Law Season 2 (keep your eyes peeled for an air date)! Now I’m back in the room for our newly greenlit Season 3. It’s a wonderful room — Susin Nielsen is an A+ human being who has created a funny, heartfelt, healing show — and if you have not watched the first season, you should do it now! (And for those of you not in Canada—don’t worry, because we’ve been picked up by the CW, and are headed to you soon!)

Beyond that, I had another great fall teaching at Capilano (three hour classes in a KN95 are a thing, let me tell you), and I’ve put a couple of development irons in the fire which is very exciting. And that, dear reader, is all the news that’s fit to print.

Stay safe, and take care of each other!
